Brett Butler
I discovered your genealogy information through a google search for Hanover and Marquis. My name is Brett Butler and I reside in Dorr, Michigan. I have been working on family history for some time now and continue in the painfully slow process. My Great Great Grandfather was Clarence Hanover. I believe, although am not positive that Clarence is the son of Cyrenus Hanover and Alma Stone. Further, I believe that Cyrenus Hanover is the son of John Hanover and Elizabeth Marquis. Your information is very similar and by your source notes it appears that you may have utilized information contained in the LDS website.

Bob Halberstadt
My name is Bob Halberstadt I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada.
George Heinrich Halberstadt was born Dec 5 1871. He married Jennie Houghton on 30 Dec 1902 somewhere in Essex County, (Windsor?)Ontario Jennie was born in June 1881, in Ontario somewhere. In 1911 they were living in Hamilton Ontario and must have moved to Michigan sometime after this.
I have no further info on them after this date.
George is my 1st cousin 3 times removed. His family and mine immigrated to the Waterloo area of Ontario in 1848. George I think was actually born in Michigan. His siblings were all born in the Waterloo area. George senior died March 31 1882, in Waterloo (Preston) Ontario.
George junior had an older brother, Frederick, who moved his family to East Tawas Michigan around 1899.

Thanks you for writing me. If this is the same family then I am the granddaughter of Henry Edward Harrison and Melba Florence Houghton. Melba is the daughter of John Houghton. John Houghton is the son of Alfred E. Houghton and Anne Hunter. I have a 1910 Census says that he was 25, Single , born in Michigan. I have around 1890 but since I found this census I have changed it to 1885. His parents are both from England. This Census was taken on 16 April 1910 in Michigan. John married Ethel Tucker. I don't have the date of the marriage. They had 2 daughters that I know of Melba Florence Houghton born 03 Aug 1916 in Portland, Oregon. She died 01 Jun 2002 in Pleasant Hill, Oregon and Fern Rose Houghton. Melba Married Henry Edward Harrison on 20 Mar 1940 in Washington. Henry was born 19 May 1902 in St. Helens, Oregon and Died 20 Aug 1986. Melba and Henry had 2 children my father John Walter Harrison, and my Aunt Virginia Ethelmae Harrison John married my mother Sharon Kay Rodenberry Heitzman and they had two Children Me, Ronda M. Harrison and my brother Ronald L. Harrison. Have you heard of any of these people. If you would like I could send you some more of my info. PS not sure on Rose's middle name.
